Sound Audiology Consulting is a Washington Limited Liability Company that provides audiology services to school districts in the Puget Sound Area.

 

We provide the following services:

 

· Liaison with clinical Audiologists and area service providers

· Interpret audiograms and discuss the educational impact of the hearing loss on academic access with other team members and/or in a report format compatible with IEP online

· Attend Evaluation, IEP and 504 meetings and make recommendations as a member of the educational team

· Work with student’s educational team to implement appropriate classroom accommodations

· Identify appropriate personal and sound field technology for a student based on current research and evidence based practice

· Develop aural re/habilitation training goals for students with hearing loss, cochlear implants and hearing aids

· Provide a survey of personal FM and sound field technology used     by the school district and monitor and maintain the equipment in accordance with IDEA requirements

· Provide in-service training to educators and staff on the impact of hearing on learning and the benefits and limitations of personal amplification and FM technology

· Consult on school hearing screening protocols
